| Following the statements of the chairman of the board of directors of the National Association of Passenger Drivers’ Associations about the use of cartons and cardboard in the production of brake pads, the Association of Brake and Clutch Pad Manufacturing Industries denied this issue in a response. |
Gholamreza Khademizadeh – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Passenger Drivers’ Associations in an interview with ISNA on July 27, pointed out the problems in some parts used in buses and said, “Manufacturers do not have any responsibility for the warranty and equipment with poor quality like brake pads produced in Iran without quality and with cardboard and cartons. When the bus driver and its owner have no authority and ability to provide what they want, they have to use low-quality goods, and finally we see that the same low-quality buses and low-quality parts and accessories cause accidents such as recent accidents and overturns. In other words, when spare parts in the country are of poor quality and fake, drivers are forced to buy the same, and with fake and counterfeit equipment and parts, there will certainly be more road accidents.”
Following the publication of this news, the Association of Brake and Clutch Pad Manufacturing Industries reacted to these remarks in a response and officially denied it.
In a part of the explanations of this association, it is stated, “According to the letter sent by the Association of Brake Pad and Clutch Manufacturers to that esteemed news agency and also the announcement of the expert result of the accident of journalists’ buses and teacher soldiers by the police and repeated follow-ups of the Associate Secretary, it was expected that the news agency would deny the news and clarify the public mind; unfortunately, this did not happen and the Association of Brake Pad Manufacturers had to provide an answer in order to protect the rights of its members.”
As you are well aware, the production of brake pads in the country has been completely localized, and with the efforts of local experts in more than 90 companies and thousands of workers, the supply of brake pads and friction parts required by the country is done under the full supervision of the National Standards Organization. For years, not only has the country not needed the import of brake pads, but also the significant exports of this product have brought remarkable foreign currency to our country. Brake pads are a super-safe product that has a production history of more than 50 years in Iran, and domestic products are offered in car factories and their after-sales services, domestic market as well as export markets with a guarantee among consumers. Charging baseless accusations, such as the use of cartons and cardboard in the production of this super-safety product, as well as the irresponsibility of the producers and relevant supervising organizations, shows the ignorance of the speaker and publisher about the production status of this piece. Therefore, according to the comments of relevant experts and investigation carried out, the statements of the chairman of the board of directors of the National Association of Drivers’ guilds regarding brake pads are completely incorrect and the example of public mind disturbance.
