The head of the parliament’s economic commission announced the formation of a well-known exporters’ syndicate to facilitate the return of export currency to the country.
Mohammad Reza Poorabrahimi, the head of the Economic Commission of the parliament, in an interview with the parliamentary reporter of Tasnim News Agency , stated, “with the return of export currencies and the facilitation of affairs in this field in the coming days, we will see a better situation in the foreign exchange market,” and said, “Parliament has followed up the return of export currencies and according to agreements, it was decided to separate reputable exporters from the people who only had the name of the exporter and to provide the necessary assistance in returning the currencies to reputable people.”
Announcing that some people had exported and created foreign currency commitment by abusing and renting others’ commercial exporting cards, he continued, “As per the information presented by the judiciary power and the intelligence services, some of these people were the homeless sleeping in cardboard boxes and were dealt with.”
The representative of Kerman in the parliament stated, “After the events that took place because of not returning the currencies obtained from the export, it was decided that the issuance of the commercial exporting card should be based on the credit, records and goodwill of the people, which has been put into effect.”
Stating that it has been concluded that the violators will be dealt with seriously and the exporters who have faced problems will be helped in order to make settlement for the obtained foreign currencies from exports, the head of the Economic Commission of the parliament said, “It has been decided to form a well-known exporters’ syndicate to facilitate the return of export currencies to the country, and the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade has been in charge of this issue.”
