The carton manufacturing Company’s effluent treatment system returns 90% of the treated water to the production line and the remaining 10% for agricultural irrigation.
According to the Yazd IRIB News Agency, the Director General of Environmental Protection of Yazd Province said, “In order to improve and enhance the environmental performance and control of industrial effluent caused by water returning from the carton production line, the industrial wastewater treatment system of Carton Company was inaugurated and put into operation.”
Pourmolaei stated, “This wastewater treatment system was created with the efforts of Yazdi craftsmen using modern technology.
He said, “This system has the capability to treat industrial wastewater with a treatment capacity of 120 cubic meters per 24 hours.”
The Director General of Environmental Protection of Yazd Province said, “This project will prevent the entry of sewage into water resources and will play an important role in preventing water and soil pollution.”
Pourmolai stated, “The budget for the construction of this treatment plant is over 40 billion Rials.”
He said, “The wastewater treatment system of Carton Manufacturing Company returns 90% of the treated water to the production line and the remaining 10% for agricultural irrigation.”
