The first International Exhibition of Paper, Cardboard and Cellulose Products was inaugurated with presence of the authorities from the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, some parliament representatives, the heads of the relevant unions and with the cooperation of factories, enterprises, and the industrialists active in paper, cardboard, cellulose products and the related machinery at the permanent location of Tehran International Exhibition.

According to Kasbokar News Agency quoting the public relations and information section of the first International Exhibition of Paper, Cardboard, Cellulose Products, and the related machinery, the domestic and foreign companies active in this industry will exchange information and consider mutual cooperation while presenting the latest technology of paper and cardboard industry.

The most important targets of holding the first International Exhibition of Paper, Cardboard, Cellulose Products and the Related Machinery are to introduce the latest achievements of domestic manufacturing, industrial, and technological companies, to provide the opportunity of marketing on domestic and foreign markets, to take advantage of the knowledge and the experience of other countries in the field of the exhibition, to introduce and import the latest technology into the country, to express the opportunities of domestic and foreign investment in this industry, and to establish the background of interaction between domestic manufacturers and the foreign counterpart companies.

In this exhibition and along with various domestic companies, the companies from Russia, China, India, and Turkey also present their products and services.

Consumers and major purchasers can both visit the halls and stands of the exhibition and negotiate with the manufacturers and meet their requirements.

Reza Omidi, the organizer of the exhibition said, “Tehran first International Exhibition of Paper, Cardboard, Cellulose Products, and the related machinery is held by the support of Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade; and the relevant associations and cooperatives.”

Omidi noted, “This event in 1397 which is called the year of ‘Supporting Iranian Products” is held to emphasize the domestic capacities, and we try to pave the way for the entrance of new technologies into this industry of our country.”

It is worth mentioning that the consumption of packaging paper in the country is close to 900 thousand tons while the domestic requirement to writing and newsprint paper is 380 thousand tons which increases by 120 thousand tons during the elections.”

While the domestic requirement to packaging paper is 900 thousand tons, our production capacity per year is 2 million and 800 thousand tons which means there is an extra capacity of 2 million tons in the country.

Last year, we had the best year after revolution with the exports of 100 thousand tons, and it is scheduled to double the export in this year, but we only exported 30 thousand tons in the first quarter of the year.

The first International Exhibition of Paper, Cardboard, Cellulose Products, and the related machinery is available for the enthusiasts of this field at the permanent location of the Tehran International Exhibition from today to August 4th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
