However, in 2021, with the start of vaccinations and, of course, the solutions that the economic spheres found to operate at the same time as the corona outbreak, the conditions improved somewhat, and many sectors of the economy began to grow again. However, the studies by the Tehran Chamber of Commerce on the state of world industrial production in the second quarter of 2021 show that not all industries have had the same conditions.
According to the information provided in this report, the growth of production of the global rubber and plastics industry has increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. In the field of minerals, this growth has been 21% and in the field of metals, it has been about 17%. Among the developing and emerging countries, rubber industries have grown by 32%, minerals by 61% and metals by about 40%.
In the food sector, the global growth was 5.7 percent and were less than 5 percent in the emerging economies. In the beverage sector, however, global growth has been around 14 percent and more than 27 percent in the emerging economies. In the field of tobacco products, the global growth is estimated at less than two percent.
In the field of textiles, the growth of production compared to the same period last year was 19 percent, in the field of garment this figure has reached 20 percent and in the field of leather 17 percent. Among in the emerging economies, the garment production growth has surpassed the level of 66 percent.
In the field of computers and electronics, the global growth has been 21 percent and 26 percent in developing economies. In the field of electronic equipment, however, the emerging economies have grown by more than 53%. In the field of wood products, the global growth has been 17% , and the emerging economies have grown by 40%. In the field of paper, 7% and 10% growth have been recorded in the world and developing countries, respectively.
In the field of machinery, production has increased by 20%, in the field of motor vehicles by 45% and in other transportation equipment by 22%. Developing countries have recorded 125 percent growth in motor vehicles alone.
